NC-17 & Mr. Explicit - Class Of 1999 [Grindhou5e]

Founded in 2012 by Canadian-based producer NC-17, Grindhou5e Audio has hit the scene hard, introducing the Drum and Bass community to some of the grittiest Bass Music around. Featuring Division artists, The Upbeats, as well as Viper superstar Smooth, the Grindhou5e catalogue is already packed with bangers. Now, after hitting clubs across the globe with the massive single ‘Fear No Distance’, Grindhou5e is back with only its third installment of ‘takeno-prisoners’ Drum and Bass.

After releases for the likes of Ray Keith’s Dread Recordings and Titan Records, Mr. Explicit makes his return to Grindhou5e. Already smashing the airwaves with the Bailey approved ‘Fear No Distance’, Mr. Explicit returns to collaborate with label boss NC-17 to drop the old school Dillinja-esq ‘Class of 1999’ and its equally devastating VIP on the flip.

‘Class Of 1999’
Kicking things off with an introduction packed with haunting synths, NC-17 & Mr. Explicit brings the pain with bold percussion and an enormous bassline. Proving why Bailey has claimed Mr. Explicit makes “the best basslines in Drum and Bass”, ‘Class Of 1999’ combines infectious melody with heavy bass weight to produce a tune you can’t help but dance to.

‘Class Of 1999 VIP’
On the flip, NC-17 and Mr. Explicit combine once again for a VIP of the title track. Featuring an extended introduction, the VIP takes its sweet time to build into yet another dancefloor smasher. Combining the production expertise of the two producers, the ‘Class of 1999 VIP’ proves that lightning does indeed strike twice.
